AIW question

we have AIW rage 128s and a new AIW 8500 at school, i cant tell any differance between their VIVO, but i dont use it much.

I think the video memory is for display output purposes only, so there should be no difference between 32mb and 128mb for capture. After all, PCI capture cards don't have any onboard memory at all, do they?

Is there any difference in quality between a capture with a 32mb radeon vs. a 128mb radeon?
If you're talking about 128MB AIW Radeon 9700/9800 and previous models...yes, hardware video shaders and 12bit DAC on theater 200 vs 10 bit DAC's and software encoding on the rage theater chip. Depending on your source and rig it can make a difference.
