AIW 9800 Pro ???

Using this product, can you truly record shows, movies, etc... from cable onto your HD and then burn it onto a DVD in a format playable on a standard DVD player through your TV? (think dubbing from the TV through the PC) If so, how?

Also, are there any links detailing this product in great depth?

Thanks.
Gary

Yup, its true.

Unfortunately, most reviews look mostly at the 3D gaming performance when reviewing AIW cards. Comprehensive reviews are few and far between. Plug AIW 9800 into google and see what you turn up. I don't burn DVD's, so I can't help you there ( I know there are DVD presets in the capture software that are supposed to be compliant, and it comes with Pinnacle software (pretty good) that will burn to DVD, so it should workfine), but I've used my AIW 9700 for a lot of capturing, and it works very well. My biggest problem was the poor reception in channels 2 thru 6, which was fixed when I added a signal amplifier.

yes. Simply hook the coax or component cables to the inputs. Use the MMC controls to dictate what format and what time to start( if you aren't there to push record). Have it save it where you want it and then burn it to dvd.
