aiw 9800 pro best stable with intel base or amd

I got a aiw 9800 pro. Run a week with amd base and i am completed unhappy with it . This is my set up: gigabyte ga-7n400 pro2 , amd 2600+@3200+
430 watt antec true power . 1g pc3200 kingston and 200g wd . system crash most every game. i install default driver come with box.
should i change to intel base for stability or else?

First off, I would upgrade your drivers. I have a 9800pro AIW and have had 0 issues with it with an Intel CPU. Having said that, I don't think that having AMD or Intel would make any difference as far as crashing goes. I would look for some problem with you system. Probably starting with your OC. If you run your CPU at stock does it crash? It really should be stable wether you are running AMD or Intel.

Might want to make sure your NForce drivers are up to date, and maybe try the latest Catalyst drivers from the ATI site. My AIW 9700pro has been going strong in my AMD NForce2 platform for well over a year now.
