Anyone know of any issues with the All In Wonder 9700 Pro cards with soundblaster cards?
First, my system specs:
P4 1.6a
Asus P4B266-C
SB Audigy 2 OEM
AIW 9700 Pro (Catalyst 3.2)
Windows XP Pro with SP1
MMC 8.1
Here's my issue. Originally, I used a SB Live Value card. It worked fine with Window's default drivers for that card.. then I decided to update to Creative's drivers. Lo and behold, I ran into my capture problem in the TV Tuner section. The problem was, I couldn't control the sound coming from the Line In in ATI's MMC. Well, I could control the volume, but I couldn't mute it in MMC. I went to capture the video, and all I got was video.. no sound. Switched back to Window's drivers, and it worked as it was supposed to.
Second scenario, I used a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Worked perfectly with Turtle Beach's drivers.
Third scenario, back to another Creative card. This time, the Audigy 2 OEM. Same problem as the Live card problem. I have come to believe that this is some kind of driver issue. But, through several AIW 9700 Pro reviews, I haven't seen any remarks of this. I'm assuming the systems the reviews are based on are using Creative sound cards.. hmm. It's good to note that it works fine through the mic input, but I'm avoiding that since I would rather have stereo sound.
Any ideas? Anyone have similar setup with no problems?
