AIW 9600 XT - is it loud?

I'm about to buy the ATI AIW 9600 XT video card but I want to know how noisy it is? I haven't found a site yet that gives stats on noise levels for video card fans and so far I have great system that doesn't have a lot of fan noise.

If you have an AIW 9600XT or 9600PRO let me know what you think, thanks.

I had a standard 9600xt, and it wasn't too bad. I could hear it compared to a card with the VGA Silencer on it, but there isn't all that much of a difference.

I've just started looking at silencers. It seems like their big selling point is cooling and not noise control, at least based on the product descriptions I've read. So do those really lower the noise? This is the one I'm looking at:

not loud at all. I had one for about a month then got rid of the usless thing. 9500pro out proforms it as does just about every other card. I guess if you need the AIW features then go for it, but a guy on anandtech is selling his 9700pro AIW for cheap (http://forums.anandtech.com/me...009&enterthread=y). I would go with that if you will be gaming at all.
