i was considering upgrading from my radeon 7000 ve (crappy) to a ti4200, using that to just get me by until after doom3 and HL2 are out.. since i don't mind not having AA/FF that much, i heard it was a good performer still. but i just saw bestbuy has the aiw9000 pro for $129 (AR). all the ti4200 cards i saw were around $100 (retail anyways). i wouldn't mind having a tv tuner card at all... but how would this card function in terms of games such as dod and the like. i mean, right now my radeon7000 doesn't run anything anyways.. so anything will be a steup up. i would like to run >30fps at at least 1024x768 on not too old games if possible.. thanks for the help!
 
Read here. This should give you some idea of how it will perform...if performance in games is what you are looking for, go with the Ti4200
 
hm... so is it worth the ~$75 difference between say a 9600pro and aiw 9600 pro? or should i probably just get a stand alone (like hauppage or something) tv card?
