Have you downloaded the latest catalyst drivers and the latest VIA drivers: careful, BOTH for WinXP.

cannot download the ati drivers, maybe it's ie6, but the pages don't load, they stop halfway through the
contract, so I used the ones on the disc. I'll look in google for the via xp drivers.

via drivers would never install, period, still try and install every time I startup.

somehow got it to work, but don't know how, turned agp to 2x, removed and reinstalled everything
in safe mode a couple of times, etc.

just thankful it's working, of course half my hard drives 'disappeared' during the install,

gotta go find 'em :)

AAmen, have you tried letting Windows XP go on the internet and find the right drivers yet? I did that for a few drivers that I tried load that came with the product. The drivers on the product discs didn't work and Win XP found the drivers it needed via the internet by itself and loaded them properly. I have the same problem on my kids computer (8500 LE 128 MB RAM) and tomorrow I am going to hook them up to the net and let it search the drivers out. Give it a try, what have you got to lose. Using ATI's flash driver programs don't seem to do the trick.

beloved patriot Luck,
