I have had the AIW8500DV 64MB for about a month now from NewEgg but, was wonding if it's worth exchanging it for the AIW8500DV 128MB. It runs great but, when it comes to games like UT2003 it lags in the big enviorments. How much performance would I see? At the time, I paid $200 bucks for it, now, it's only $165. The AIW8500DV 128MB is $265 now. So, do you think it's worth the $65? Thanks.

AIW8500DV 128MB

There is no 128MB 8500dv, the 128MB model has no firewire port. It is however, clocked at 275/275 like the retail 8500 128, and has much better gaming performance than the 8500dv...whether its worth the extra funds is up to you, I tend to think it is.

You are right, there's no firewire port. Thanks. How much performance gain could I see in games?

 Not a huge amount in most current games, but for games like Commanche4 anda few others the hit from 64MB is very significant. For the games due out, esp DoomIII and UT2003 based games 64MB will surely be hit even harder. $65, definitely get the 128MB as you will want to keep your AIW functionality and still play the best games with the best perf without paying the Earth. Have you considered a seperate PCI TV card and a standard gfx card, this will prevent the same hassles from happening in the future, a lot will be happening over the next 6 months or so.
