AIT 9600 upgradeable to 9700?

I have seen that more and more components of notebooks are now upgradeable. Can the ATI Radeon 9600 be upgraded to the 9700?

No, 99.99% of the time the Video Card is soldered to the motherboard. Unless you bought your laptop and it specifcally advertised 'With upgradable video' you're stuck.

Besides "upgradeable graphics" motherboards:
If they released the same laptop with an updated graphics solution, then it may be possible to buy a whole new motherboard and swap it out, thats expensive and no one will sell you just a motherboard for your laptop.
