well, i remember watching this show and being well amazed, i thought it better than knightrider.

jus read through that to find, airwolf was nothing more than a bell 222. 🙁

and when the show finally ceased to exist, the heli was returned to its original config, and sold to Hubschrauber-Sonder-Dienst (german heli charter company)

it was used as an air abulance, crashed in a thunderstorm in 1991 killing all 3 passengers.

I'm surprised they only used one coptor for the show. I knew they had mockups for some shots but I figured they would have had at least one more coptor. Guess it was too expensive.

The name escapes me right now but on a recent television show, the same helicopter was used as a common helicopter... I thought that was such a disgrace. 😉

Airwolf was one of my favorite show when I was growing up. Love the intro theme.

Cool turbo charged heli with retractable landing gears and all the weapons and gadgets.

Do you remember when they did the same thing as Knight Rider and had a copy of Air Wolf that was more high tech. It had lasers.

It was a good show in the 80s. Have you seen it recently. OMG.

The Bell 222 was actually a high performance helicopter designed to cart executives around instead of a Leer jet. One of the MS Flight Sims had a model for one- pretty nice flying machine.

Of course, they also had the Airwolf mod for MS Flight Combat Simulator. Heheheh...Mach 2 in WWII rocked 🙂
