I travel to England by train every month or so from Europe, and my mother has a tendency to give me some home made food, because she thinks it's healthier. The question is: you know those X-Ray machines on the airport, right; they have those same ones on the train terminals, because it's international travel, and I was wondering whether the food gets poisoned if it passes through the X-Ray machine, because I really like that food, but wasn't sure if it does get poisoned.

Your verdict?

Look at it this way - that one guy stands right next to it for 8 hours, and his nuts are fine. Your food goes through it for 30 seconds. Your food will be fine.

OK, cool.

Now I just have to pack for the weekend so that I have enough space in my bag for the food that my mom will pack me :D

LOL, that reminds me of the story about the cops holding the radar gun between their legs while it was in standby.

It would probably depend largely on whether the x-rays are ionizing or not. If they aren't, no worries. If they are, I'd be more worried about what it's doing to YOU, but I'm no expert.
