Airport/TimeCapsule WDS Repeater Mode

I've been considering buying a Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme.
I just wanted to hear from any users that are using the WDS Repeater function.
I live in an old 1930's house ( chickenwire and plaster/concrete walls instead of sheetrock ) and a single WiFi router isn't enough to provide coverage. I want use the TimeCapsule as client bridge so I can have my Printer, PC, and iMac wired via ethernet. Use my notebooks over the WiFi
Besides "normal" WDS, is it possible to bridge the 2 units over the 5G channel to extend the 2.4G ?
