Clear evidence life is of low value here (US) . You won't see a serious security effort untill a few more terrorist incidents occur and the body count esclates. Liberal mind set is convinced that 9-11 was an anomaly that is worth gambling that it won't be repeated.

Most of the federal screeners are the same as the ones before, from what I?ve heard the dropped the requirement where you needed a high school diploma and US citizenship so they wouldn?t have to fire so many of the current screeners. Now their just Mongoloids with better pay and benefits. 😉

We probably shouldn't be refering to stupid people as mongoloids since it is a racial term.

If there's better pay and benefits, better people will apply for the job, and they shouldn't have any need to hire anyone with no education. Eventually the worse screeners will be replaced through normal turnover. In a year, the security force is likely to be made up mostly of the kind of people who will always do their best, and it will keep getting better as these people gain experience.

It's going to come down to having good personell management and hiring to keep good people in and turnover low. Let's hope they do a decent job.

Security in Europe is tight at the mo well since 911, no razor blades (Gillette type ) or nail sissors,

but for gods sake you can still buy a nice bottle of vodka, in the duty free, drink most of it smash the nice glass bottle on some blokes head, then use the very sharp broken glass to higack the plane,

thats is dumb,
