i think it's called a slip landing or something like that. i was riding with my bro in a Cessna 171 once and we caught a light cross wind when landing...it was scary as hell...

Pretty cool I've landed in a plane that hit some wind like that the plane jerked, really rough landing, I thought I was going to die. Pilot over the radio said "heh just a little bit of wind folks, nothing to worry about." Nothing to worry about my ass.

Almost coming into Pearson last year, there was a lot of turbulence around 12 stories up. Pilot's corrected it quickly, and we landed with a dusting of snow coming off our asses

I've been in a landing similar to those on the video. Coming into Amsterdam during a heavy rainstorm we bounced around quite a bit but did make it on the ground safely.

I think I've been in a plane that had to attempt landing a 2nd time but I can't seem to remember where. I just remember coming down close to the runway and then suddenly being pushed hard back into my seat as it rose again.

I've been on several flights where the initial landing attempt was aborted.

Nothing like being 20' from the ground when the pilot buries the throttle and pulls up.

Once I remember it was the winds, and another time there was a plane on the runway (it was in the wrong place), and there were a few where there was no explanation provided.
