Okay, those a fine temps. I wouldn't worry about the airflow in your case, I would worry about the airflow in your room. If the temps dropped 5 Cs because you opened a window, it's obviously your room that's hot.

That is actually pretty good. Especially because that case doesnt appear to have a front intake. What are your room temperatures with the window closed and the window open.

I would check to make sure your HS is seated level. This is using an SLK800 and SmartfanII correct? What speed is that 1700 at? I think your temps should be a lot cooler. You have another "problem" somewhere and it isnt your case temps.

the 1700+ is at stock until i figure out the colling issue, slk800 seems to be fitted in find. also, there is about a 10-15 degree Farenheit difference with the windows open rather than closed

EDIT: the reason i think it's a airflow issue is cuz with the windows open, and a table fan, i can get temps around 36 C which isnt bad considering abit boards show temps as being higher then they really are. btw, the mob id Nf7-s rev2

It is an airflow problem in your room rather than with your computer. As OulOat said it is obvious that your room is too hot. 22c=71.6F 27c=80.6F. Your cooling is actually doing pretty good despite a 10-15F increase in room temp with windows closed. Your case cant be much hotter than ambient, so good luck lowering temps more than another degree or 2 for a lot of extra noise and money.

Hey I have the same case. 1700+ DLT3C @2.3ghz, 1.68v...46C idled...53 primed. This case has some crappy circulation. No front HDs fans!...I had to mod the acylic window on the side. Now I have a 120mm vantec stealth blowing from the side directly over the HSF. Dropped the temp approx 5-7C. Hope my HDs will be ok....

I cut the hole in my side panel by drilling a 1/2" hole with a drill and then I used a jig saw to cut the hole. Pics in sig.
