Airfare starting at $10 each way!

A new airline service called skybus is spreading across the US, and is offering airfare starting at a MERE $10/way (not including tax's. With tax on $10/way fares, it's only $30 roundtrip).

Not bad, eh? I found a trip from Hartford to Columbus, OH for a mere $10/way... Makes me want to take a day off...

I noticed this as well... though you can go anywhere from columbus. I checked out ticket prices from columbus to cali = not too good. I think it was 330 or something.
 
SpiritAir has some cheap fares. They now require you to become a member of their $9 fare club to get the cheapest fares available. Probably worth it if you fly often. They still have some cheap rates available even if you're not a member. You have to play with the dates as apparently the cheap seats sell out quickly and you may not always be able to get a return flight at the cheapest rate. Just click the link, the promo will appear on the right.

Ditto. I'm in Colorado as well, I was hoping for something cheap from Colorado to Seattle to see a friend for a weekend. Oh well...
 
Lol yeah, it's odd you can only goto columbus, oh, but you can make your own connecter flights...

SpiritAirlines is my hands down favorite. Always cheap prices (however, now you have to pay like $30/year to get $9 flights). But this is still pretty decent, if you want to goto Ohio =).

The Skybus hub is located at Columbus Airport in Ohio. All flights leave Columbus, reach their destination, load up and return back home. The first 10 seats per flight are $10 each, one-way. They go very quickly.

This will help ensure that you have enough time to retrieve and re-check your bags, and be at your gate in time. All of our check in and gate deadlines still apply if you purchase multiple flights. If you're traveling light, that might not be too bad, but for a family with kids going on vacation, that would suck.
 

There is more to flying than cheap prices.

1 - Are they skimping on maintenance?

2 - how many flights are there in case of bad weather or mechanical problems?

I have co workers who had horrible problems with Southeast and Independence Air.
