AirCard question

I'm looking into buying an AirCard for my notebook and the prices on ebay for them struck me as very cheap. As far as their descriptions are concerned too, they don't need to be activated. I was always under the impression, however, that these cards simply run off a phone number or specific cell plan. So I was wondering if I have a cell plan already, would I be able to just "dial in" using the number already attributed to the phone?

Check with your local phone provider. They can setup a plan for you.
