airbrushing and photo editing

any helpful guides? also is photoshop only option? also is there good free program? i am very new to this, so all input is appreciated

Not really option there are so many other photo editing programs with less than 100.00 but they have no match with Photoshop's powerful editing capacities but if you want to work photoshop like program for free called Gimp I never tried it but I heard many good things about Gimp. Corel Painter has the best airbrush you can find there.
