Airborne Express left Blank Check on my doorstep!

I am buying a new truck and decided to give e-loan a shot...after applying, I was approved for 24K and they were gonna next day air the letter/check to me.

Well, today, I came home from work @ 5:45 and there it was...leaning against my door!!! The letter with a blank check inside for 24K...Glad my apt neighbors didn't get too curious. Didn't even sign for it...

Now, I'm sure that this thing would be impossible to use without proper ID, etc...but still.

Crazy.

I think the fault falls with echeck since they didn't require signature to deliver.

They could get burned if someone says they never received it... how can they prove anything? What if it really was stolen off your doorstep? Even though it would be next to impossible to cash, what if they just tore it up or something? I doubt they like issuing a lot of stop payments on $24K checks...
