Air duct too close to CPU Fan/heatsink??

I finally got all my fans installed, including my Zalman and side fan w/ air duct. Funny thing is when I tried to put my side panel on, the air duct, without being extended. Almost touches my Zalman fan!! It is seriously close so when I turn my comp on air is like coming directly in and onto the CPU fan. Is there a good setup or should I take the air duct off?
