Air Cooling VS Water cooling

Hey guys, I'm totally new at this, I just have a few general questions:

I am building a system, here are the components so far (i have only bought the 2 raptors so far) :
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice (will try to overclock to 2600mhz +)

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel
Platinum System Memory

Antec NeoPower 480W Power Supply

ANTEC P180 Case (not sure yet)

2X WD Raptors

nvidia 6800GT

I am just wondering what would the price difference between air cooling and water cooling be and how much more i can get out of my processor and video card for that extra money.

Any kind of advice would really be appreciated,
Thanks

i've already given u a clear answer as many others already have.....
it's about time u stop asking and start listening to those advices..
let the mods lock ur threads if u keep this up..

u wouldn't REALLY need a water cooling kit for the venice.... venice is one of the coolest chips already.. and also xp90 and xp120 fits perfectly on dfi lanparty and give great temps such as idle 30c load 41c in my case..(2763mhz at 1.57v vcore)
as i perceive it.. most of cases of venice OCs are not limited by the temps... u can go as high as 1.65v with adequate air cooling already... just save urself some trouble and risk of playing w/ water on ur precious system.. just get xp90 or xp120..
if i were u.. since u have the money i'd get xp120 which will provide nice cooling for rams as well.. but one thing to remember is that overclocking ram is not so important on our chips since the memory controller is intergreted on the cpu already..

for videocard i'd get x800 xl.. iz better bang for the buck at the moment..

for psu look into OCZ powerstream which have adjustable rails which will be very useful when oc'ing...

Water cooling (for the most part) doesnt give you much over high-end air, certainly nothing that is worth the price difference.

Yeah, the main benefit of water is the noise. You don't need all the loud fans everywhere. With that motherboard, the 3000+ is perfect. The 3200+ and 3000+ will max out around the same level.

go with the thermalright xp90 and you should be fine and get just as good as a lot of h2o systems. the h2o systems are not always better because they are liquid, the xp90 beats a lot of them.

you should be able to get to 2.4 pretty easy from what i have read but getting higher you will need to be careful and not overvolt the ram/cpu.

why are you going 2xraptors? please don't say a striping raid...waste of money...

water cooling for enthusiasts only. fan cooling is common for almost all, even highend servers use fan cooling. get the point?
