What's the the best CPU fan to install on a i7-920 that's going on a Gigabyte X58-UD5. I haven't recieved my mobo yet but I hear that there isn't that much clearance between the ram slots and the cpu. That could make it difficult to put a decent fan setup on the board.

Is anyone using the GA-X58-UD5 that has tried to put a killer fan on it?

I'm using an EX58-UD4P w/a Noctua NH-U12P w/no problems (click "My Rig" for more info on my system).
Room ambient is 27c, temps (as I type this) are 39c. CPU is @ 3.5GHz.
Hope that helps.

I decided to go with a Thermalright IFX-14. I'm gonna install three 140mm fans on it. I should be able to get close to 4.0 Ghz with it on a i7 920

You're worried about clearance then buy pretty much the biggest cooler there is? Just get a Thermalright Ultra Extreme with a single 120mm fan, it will get you to 4gHz
