Hey everybody, in about 2 weeks I'm going on vacation to DR w/ a friend of mine, but there's a very small problem, her uncle is giving us an apt to stay at but there's no furniture so I'm turning to atot to help find an air bed for two people. Would a queen size be sufficient? and is there any particular brands to stay away from?

Thanks

Queen size should be sufficient. My husband and I have one and sleep comfortably on it together. Try to get one that has different "layers" to fill with air. Those seem the firmest to me.

We have one with a built in pump. Plug it in, hit the switch and it fills right up. Beats the heck out of hand pumping or using your mouth.

I got the cheapest one I could find, a bit over $20 I think, and a sub $10 pump. Works like a charm for camping. I got a battery operated pump, but you would probably get an electric one instead.

Queen size is plenty for two people. But you might perfer two single sized beds.

I've popped every single air bed I've ever used. Though it took longer to pop some than others, and I'm pretty rough on certain things. I had a pretty decent queen sized "swiss army" air matress that worked pretty well for awhile.

We got an inflatable bed from QVC or one of those places. Works great.

I personally have a cot that has an inflatable mattress on top of it. I use that a lot and we take it camping and everything.
Aerobed's are great but way too expensive fr just a one time use thing.

Oh I'll be getting plenty of pics, but she's just my friend. Her and her sister just lost their mother this past august so they're going back to DR for the holidays to be w/ family and they invited me :D , thanks for all the suggestions.

Floor + blanket :) I'm way to cheap to buy an inflatable bed, plus that's more crap to lug along. Plus I can fall asleep anywhere. I'm a good person to share a hotel room with because the floor or a chair works fine for me.
