Air 540 exhaust fan replacement options

The stock exhaust fan on my case has gone noisy and im looking to replace it.

I have a spare PWM chassis fan header available on the motherboard and also 2 spear connectors on the X61 Kraken

The Kraken has 4 fan headers in total, the first being 4 pin and the remaining 3 missing the tacho pin, (makes sense to only send the speed from one of the fans).

I'm tempted by one of these and run it off either the motherboard header or connect it in with the Kraken fans so it controls the speed when required.

Stock fan is a A1425L12S-2‏ from corsair.

Any recommendation, probably after a good high flow 140mm fan that is quite.

Noctua fans are always a good choice, but I just didn't like sound profile of NF-A14 PWM as an exhaust, so I tried this after seeing it on DVTests:

Prolimatech Ultra Sleek Vortex 14 White w/ Static Booster Bundle (Amazon).

A little pricey at $24, but I am amazed at how quiet it is, and with that little riser thing the bundle comes with, it moves some air.

There are quite a few user reviews on Newegg and Amazon on just the fan (not many on the fan bundle).

It mounts on 120mm spacing, but is a 140mm fan. I was going to try the redux fan (reviews seem to like the sound profile of the P14 over the A14), but I'm glad I gave the Prolimatech a shot.

I went ahead and brought the Noctua installed and working as expected connected to the X61 fan headers.

One thing to note for the AIR 540 case is that a completely square fan frame blocks the top side panel screw, I had to remove the fan and drill a hole to allow the top side panel screw to be installed. Word of warning...
