AIO Watercooling CPU and GPU

Thinking about doing 2 Corsair H50's one for the CPU and one for the GPU

and using a HG10 N80 bracket for the GPU

For $200 I think that should do me well for Cooling and noise. Right now with the Mugen im getting 75-79 on the CPU under load and about the same on the 980.

What do you guys think?

I honestly wouldn't bother with the H50 on the CPU. GPU is a different story, but the H50 likely won't cool any better than the Mugen at similar noise level.

If you're really thinking about spending $200 on CPU and GPU cooling, why not look at getting a $140 Swiftech H220-X and a $100 full coverage waterblock? It will handle the heat load better than two H50s, and you get the benefits of a full coverage block. It's 25% more money but you'll get a lot more than 25% better performance.

How would I set that up? Isnt the h220-x closed? Do you mean like the h220-x and a komodo-nv-gtx9?

its not a real closed system.
its more like a minimalist custom setup you can get.

So you put the hoses on and fill the reservoir? Does it come with the extra fittings for the GPU block or do I have to buy them separate?

You'll have to buy the fittings. 5/8” OD (3/8" ID) is the tube sizing. It would be nice if they sold those swivel fittings it comes with separately, they are pretty trick.

For your original question, I wouldn't consider anything less than the H80i for cooling the CPU. You'll be happier with the Swiftech than any AIO though.

Yep. You'd need two 3/8" barbs and a couple hose clamps along with a little bit of tubing, but that's it. Just remove one of the clamps on the unit, and drain it into a clean container. Attach the hose you removed to the 980 block, add another piece between the remaining two barbs, and refill the unit.

Then just top it up with distilled water and you're done.

I'm seriously considering it now. I will say if i do decide to water cool I'll go with your suggestions on swiftech for sure. I like how it looks and it seems really good quality.
