So what does that mean for 1/2 ID fittings and tubing??? I just bought too much money worth of 1/2" ID compression fittings!?

You don't need a heatsink in my experience. Never used one myself. I have a MCP355 from 2008 that has over 40,000 hours on it no problem. Recently I've been using this L-stand, and it's what is holding the pump in my picture on the previous page:

Keeps it out in the airflow and provides and easy mounting method. I just drilled four mounting holes for it near the edge of the motherboard tray in my 900D.

I think you're fine with 1/2" tubing. The tubing adds practically no resistance or PSI drops. It's the blocks. I run 3/8" personally, but that's because I never had a need for anything else.

After butchering my old Lian Li 1100 with 4, 1/2" hole saws and a 1" spade bit I felt I'd never want to do that to a case again. That's why I got the 800D a few yrs ago. No case modifications for me anymore. Plus I don't have the play money I use to have, anymore. This loop ended up costing close to 500$ because I went with 1/2" ID & 5/8 OD compression fittings. I literally spend 5 hours going researching and imagining how to run 2 friggin tubes. I ended up buying more compression fitting than I wanted but I didn't want to have to re-order and wait for parts to come in. My first Frozen CPU order came in today. The tubing and compression fittings are coming in tomorrow, hopefully. I guess if I do end up adding a 120 Rad I'll have the parts to do so.

Can I mix in a D5 with the DDC pump along the loop? I was thinking if this goes pretty easy I'd look into a bay res+pump combo. I had a hell of a time with 7/16 ID Masterkleer over 1/2 ID DangerDen Fatboys with my loop from yrs ago.

I could of swore I just read they run hot WITH resistance

My MCP355 ran quite hot at full speed, but I bought a Koolance speed controller for it and undervolted it to like 8V instead of 12V and it ran fairly cool then, although I still kept it near a fan in case.

For years I used 7/16 id tubing from work.
Last time I ordered cooling tubing I ordered 1/2 which is on the large loose side.
In the past I would heat 7/16 id tubing to get it on the barb connectors.
Never used compression fittings I use barb swivel fitting with a clamps.
You can use a 5/8 chassis punch to make very clean holes.
Because I had a wb my last cooling set up cost 250 with 6 120cfm fans since then I removed 3 fans for easier cleaning do to wife's 6 cats.

So the next idea I've been toying around with is adding in a 140mm Radiator. I have less than 2" clearance from the mounting position to my Northbridge heatsink from EVGA. If I were to get a Mosfet and NB block setup the inlet and outlet ports would interfere with a card I have sitting in the PCIe slot. I'd like to get a high performance 140 Rad and work around it. What 140mm Rad do you recommend?

Yeah, that 7/16th ID 5/8 OD Masterkleer tubing over 1/2 ID barbs was too rough. That was about 5yrs ago, I'm a little older now and I just don't want to screw around with doing that again, ever, lol.
