Take a peek at this, BearShare. It's basically a front end tool for using the gnutella network, and it rocks...... You're not limited to any particular kind of file, and you can find just about anything in a short time.

Gotta love Bearshare. I've managed to download episodes of Cowboy
Bebop, dozens of videos and several Adobe Apps among other things...
only to prove that I could, of course... and it's all been deleted
now. ;)

It's sort of like Scour, but with way more content.

I've used it and it looks decent, definetly promising.

BTW- I can't stand Bearshare, it is probably from user error, but I haven't managed to download even one MP3 using it, I get about a billion matches for one song but no dice.

I use AIMSTER, but none of my friends do. I am trying to convince them to, but they have been non responsive so far.

Wow, a lot of answers.
I actually use Napster ans Bershare too, just looking for something to replace Napster if they ever end up closing it or making me pay for it.

I tried using bear share at school on my ethernet connection and I can't connect. Same thing with Gnutella. Any ideas why? I can connect to Napster, Aimster, CuteMx, etc.
