AIM won't work on 2nd PC

Situation: One Linksys BEFSR41 (4 port router); Road Runner Toshiba Canblwe Modem PCX100U; one Win 2000 Pro PC at 1.7GHZ (RAID0), and one 450MHZ PC. Can run AIM on 1.7 GHZ machine with no problems. The other PC hooked up identically (check specs) keeps giving the same message time and again: The AIM server can't be reached. Aent e-mail to AOL but no response. Any ideas>

can the problem machine ping the router or the other computers? did you eliminate hardware problems from the equation? ie is the cable bad? is that particular port bad? can you access the net with that one? etc
