AIM virus?

I just saw a link that looked suspicious in my friend's away message....I looked into it, and it appears to try to turn down your itnernet security and then run scripts, I'm assuming to download viruses. I haven't seen it before, and my friend got the virus. I can't find any info on this on google, anyone know about this one and how to get rid of it?

Below is the away message it automatically puts up...DO NOT CLICK THE LINK!

look in the status bar on the mouseover... doesn't look like it's linked correctly anyway.

EDIT>>> ok he just said that.

aim virus... this is old news man. hehe... various names, various things they do.. etc, etc... my sister got the "best friends" one on our laptop, and needless to say, even after the fix, the author says himself that it's a nasty one that could still be lurking behind.

good thing I was planning on formatting and making an image of it.
