NoteSaver: This is NoteSaver, a free answering machine-like service AIM bot. You tell me a message to tell to your off-line buddy, and when they sign on, I'll tell them!
NoteSaver: Example: tell "car crazy 472" what's up? call me sometime! If there is a space in their screenname, put quotes around the screenname!!! (eg: "tunnel tennant"). After you've sent your message, you won't get a return instant message. Check me out at http://www.geocities.com/aimnotesaver

Looks like it's still being developed. I'm pretty sure they have this feature in the new version of Trillian coming out.

It is already built into trillian, has been for the last four versions... and it works on all services... ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRC...

Trillian, check it out...

What they really need to do is make something that will let you check your away messages when you are away.

Like send a special code to a bot running on your machine letting you know it is you and it will send you back all the messages people have sent you while you have been gone.

You can do it in a roundabout way. Use WinVNC.

I'm also for pimping Trillian... It's lightyears ahead of AIM. Perfect for those of us who run large FTP's and have to interface with all four clients. ;)

Hmm, interesting, I'm using this other bot by some person, it's called noteserver.

<edit> Looks like notesaver is having probs. Noteserver is having some probs too, but I think it works pretty well now, noteserver is online most of the time. It's great!</edit>

joy, thats like icq basic functionality:p would be a lot nicer if the aim client would allow you to send off line messages that it would autosend when person signed on. how hard is that? :p

I wish they would give out some more news about the next version. They've had beta testing since MAY!!

You and me both! They're pretty darn secretive about their projects, not releasing any information at all. Last I heard they were on beta3, could be on beta4 now, but I'm not sure. So the new version should be out soon.

It hasn't been implemented into Trillian yet. I think you're probably thinking of something else. It exists in Yahoo and ICQ, but not in AIM and MSN.

Wrong, left click the "globe" thingy, go to "set status" then "new away message" works like a charm for ALL services...

This isn't what they're talking about.

This is for when you don't have the program open anymore and someone IMs you.
