AIM profile links gone bad

so I saw a link in a friend's profile.

Whoa look what I found. Click here.

so naturally I click it and puts it in my profile and no doubt put some sort of gayware on my comp. similar to the www.realphx.com profile floating around. anyway, anybody know how to get rid of it?

Learn to not accept online certificates from companies that even my cat makes fun of.
In other words, you should have clicked "No" in the certificate approval window.

Run the following batch file, then run spybot, then reset your aim profile, then do windows update, and let spybot run when windows start again if it needs to. Don't forget to have spybot immunize.

Use google--search for "spybot". It should be the first link that pops up in the search. Download it, and do the search for updates feature first before you run the check for problems.

Yes, run windows update--it'll help prevent this active x vulnerability from being exploited in the future.
 
Oh, be sure you scroll through the list of stuff spybot finds and right click and choose select all of this product for anything not already checked. Immunize!!!
 
Tip-keep your computer updated. Seriously, viruses and such mainly get around because people couldn't care less about security until they actually get something like this. BTW, my friend had it to, and I had a website for it. Just do a search. Of course, you already got rid of it, so that wouldn't matter, but whatever...
 
Do a search for b.exe and bbb.exe, be sure you've got the advanced options enabled so you can see hidden files. Kill b.exe and bbb.exe from your tasklist and then delete the files.
