I searched in the archives and the one person who provided a link, doesn't come up. Anyone remember how to edit this? I thought it was a HTML file, but I can't find it in Windows XP.

I have no idea what it is you're asking.

In your AIM profile... it limits you to 1,024 characters if I remember right. Your profile is stored in a HTML file if I remember correctly. I just need to know where that file is hidden or another way around it without using external profile sites.

If you are willing to make other people click once more, just make a simple HTML page and put the link in your profile that opens in the same window. It works the same as a "subprofile."
<a target="_self" href="http://www.myname.com/aim.html">My extended profile</a>

No. Make a page and upload it somwhere on the next. Then make a link inside your AIM profile and format it like this:
<a target="_self" href="http://www.myname.com/aim.html">My extended profile</a>
When people click on it, it will load your page in the AIM profile window. The page can be as long as you want, but you can only display things that are in normal AIM profiles (no images, scripts).
