AIM Problem

My AIM is shutting down everytime I go to type a message or receive a message. I keep on getting this error:
AppName: aim.exe AppVer: 5.9.3702.0 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.153 Offset: 0005d4fb

I really have no idea what and why it would do this. I was working just fine before. I have also tried upgrading it, that did work. Then I uninstalled it then restalled it, still didn't work. So please anytime would be greatfull
