AIM problem: Profiles open up out of no where?

Anyone else get this weird occurence where someone's profile just pops up out of nowhere and you're like "wtf?"

I think it may be something like their checking out your profile and it makes theirs pop up? I'm clueless.
 
yea that happens to me sometimes when i play games

It usually happens when you currently have someones profile open, but then you leave it idle, and aim automatically refreshes it.

nah I would just be sitting here looking at my screen and all of a sudden *popup profile* and i get scared. lol
