AIM File transfer port

I just got a linksys befsr41 router, and now on AIM i can't transfer or receive files. anyone know if there's a port i can open to receive these files or anything else i can do? my friend has a netgear router and its the same for him too. thanks for your help.

Under AIM settings go to File Sharing should be a box in there that says Port number to use. Try entering a number you would like and then going to your port forwarding and enter the same number. Should work but not 100%.

Of course check Display approve dialog or Allow(whichever you prefer).

I have port 5190 forwarded to this computer for AIM... however... on my laptop, I can still transfer files on AIM... so maybe that's not it.
