AIM Direct Connect HELP

I have a SMC Barricade Router with SBC DSL and I cannot connect to anyone with DSL and definetly no one else with a router and hence a firewall.... is there anyway to fix this so I can DIRECT CONNECT to people? I can usually connect to people with 56k access but no one else... what can I do if anything?!
 
well..you could take a look at how to do a thing called DMZ hosting with your router that you have right now.. that's the problem, but be forewarned that if you do, hackers can see you, the routers usually just mask you so it doesn't look like you exsist, but when you are dmz'ing anyone can see you
 
The latest AIM beta should fix direct connection problems through routers. I downloaded it a while back and I haven't had a problem connecting to anyone.
 
Anyone?! Wow that's interesting.... might have to try that out cause it gets annoying when I can't connect to people with routers. I can make it connect to people with DSL but not with routers now..
