Aim and shoot kicking me to desktop

I am going back and playing Borderlands again. Using G9X mouse and Gigabyte Aivia keyboard. Whenever I use right mouse button to zoom and left to shoot, it kicks me to my desktop...any suggestions?

Drivers for the mouse and keyboard installed? Could be Windows is misinterpreting the mouse buttons for something else.

Especially with the g9x. With the logitech software for your mouse, make sure you do not have any special key binds tied to right click and left click other than the defaults.

I just don't get it, my son is playing the game on his computer under vista, no issue...

I tried using another mouse, same issue...

This really has me confused...

I have win7 64-bit, a g9x mouse, and borderlands (g15 keyboard though). I'll install it tonight and see if I can duplicate your error, although I doubt I will. I don't remember ever having an issue like this with that game, and I ran through the entire story once.

A few things you might check out, if you haven't already.

1. In device manager, go to the view menu, and select "show hidden devices"
Under "Keyboards", and then "Mice and other pointing devices", delete any grayed out entries leaving the solid entries at the top alone.

2. If you have not already done so, uninstall, and then reinstall the latest drivers for your keyboard and mouse.

3. You might as well run a malwarebytes session and see if that comes up with anything.

4. Check and see if any other programs you have running use a "right click, left click" sequence as a hot-key for anything.

5. Add the borderlands game .exe to your exceptions list in DEP. (If that has no effect, undo that change, DEP is important)
