AIM and Linksys router

Has anyone had a problem connecting to the AIM service using a Linksys BEFSR41 v.2 router?? My sister bought the router, opened up the appropriate ports, but no connection. If she can't figure it out, she's gonna give me the router and take my switch (I call that a fair trade, considering it's her switch in the first place) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

um i didnt even have to open ports to be able to connect to AIM using the same router

I've had a problem sending files throught AIM, running Win XP Pro and have a Linksys Ethernet card. Don't know if it is related with Linksys or Win XP it worked before I upgraded to Win XP

My roommate has a linksys LNE100TX card in his comp running WinXP and he hasnt had any problems sending files.
