or, at least, my Windows7 doesn't believe it, nor does my NVidia control panel.

if this was true, then my monitor could do 70Hz at its native resolution; unfortunately it's a Hannstar, and information on it is scarce beyond belief .. so i can't get a confirmation anywhere.
So ...
is this software reliable? If i force (somehow, i haven't really looked into how to do that) my rate at 70Hz, do i risk blowing up my monitor?
I know 70Hz isn't a great improvement over 60Hz, but i'm hoping to squeeze a bit more juice out of this here crappy monitor ... :/
