AIBO 2nd GENERATION

Dude's and Dudets (hehe.. I feel like a renegade surfer)... Check this out. It is a computerized dog like thing. From Sony. I wonder how much it is. There are no stores in my state were I could purchase one, and Sony has it setup so that to really use it, you have to buy all of this extra software, and it requires a Memory Stick (sold seperatly of course).
Lemme know if you guys think it would be cool. I'd like to get one to bring into work and to goof around with there (I work in a warehouse, and we don't have much to do, so we play n64, dreamcast, ps2, hockey with packaging materials, you know, the usualy job type stuff), perhaps get everyone to pitch in so that we can have a general warehouse pet. :)

I'd love to rent one of those for a weekend and see how my real dog would react to it...

I think it is worth 1,500... But I can't afford it. hehe.. If you read about all of the technology that is in that little biznitch, it's deffinetly worth that much.

Probably the only reason I said it wasn't worth it was cause I can't afford it.. :)

Yeah, Jake would probably sniif it's butt a couple of times, try to mount it to prove his dominance, then go back to his nap. Dogs have such an easy life...

does the aibo know to go and recharge himself or does it just fall over dead?

I think I'd rather have a $1,500 pure bred yellow labrador retriever. At least when it comes to great me, I don't get knocked unconscious due to a large metal mass jumping on me. Wait...Aibo probably can't walk more than a mile and hour...

*me gets ready for work*

"Aibo...get me the paper"

*pulling up into driveway after long day of work*

"Sh*t, Aibo. I'da thought you'd be at least out of the driveway when I got home. I should've taught your sorry ass how to repair yourself. Aww...fug it...if I can spend $1500 on a fake dog...I'll spend $3000 on the 3rd generation that'll hopefully get me the paper before next week."

1500 for it is a good price, the first AIBO which has a lot less features than this second generation one went for around 2500 and it was so limited, many people couldn't get a hold of it. Sony has promised that anyone who wants one of the second generation one will be able to buy it.
