Are any of y'all running an aftermarket heatsink/fan combo on you AI7?
I have a Zalman ALCU7000, but i'm not sure if it'll work on this motherboard due to the chip sitting at an angle. I don't know if it'll cover enough of it or not.
Anyone?

I have a Zalman CNPS7000-CU on my AI7. Fits fine.

Silly question, but are you overclocking yours? The Zalman doesn't seem to cover the entire cpu...I assume you are experiencing the same thing?
What have your temps been running?

Don't worry about the hs not covering the whole CPU. The actual core under the heat spreader is covered.

I'm currently running a P4 2.6C @ 3305MHz (254MHz FSB) on an Abit AI7.

Idle @ 26-29C
Load @ 39-42C

Are you using the stock northbridge cooling? I had trouble with the one on my IS7 making a racket, so I bought a Thermaltake Tiger to replace the one on this one.

Yep. Cleaned up the stock goop and applied Arctic Silver 5.

You'll probably have trouble installing both the Zalman CNPS7000 and the Thermaltake Tiger. The Zalman fits with the stock NB HS/Fan, just barely.

Tates,
Do you like the AI7?

It is an excellent board. Solid OC'er with nice features. OnBoard sound via RealTek ALC658 is especially good. uGuru is a pretty good suite of tools. Thumbs up.
