Ahnold is not back. The Last Stand bombs.

The movie going public is clearly not interested in 65 year old action stars.

It looked like a mix of Walking Tall (seriously even complete with Johnny Knoxville as the sidekick) and a General Motors commercial. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Isn't he going to be Conan again too?

Looks like a decently reviewed movie for the subject matter. I'll probably see it on $5 movie night.

That top 10 list sucks anyway... T3 had the highest opening weekend and the first two werent even on the list? WTF? Not to mention Total Recall, Predator, etc... Seems like his best movies all got poor results

Expendables 1 and 2 were both awesome action movies.

Err, that would be an improvement over the 2011 Conan.

No. I haven't seen the second, but the first one is a shitty shitty terrible action movie that was horribly misrepresented.

While I agree it set the bar low (to be honest the originals, at least certainly the 2nd one didn't exactly set it all that high), I'm not so sure they'd improve on it even with him. There's no way he's gonna look like Conan and Hollywood has no clue how to capture that great 80s cheese that made Ahnuld so great.

people dont like arnold anymore because thats not arnold.

we remember the terminator. nobody else looked as strong as he did. we remember the guy who fought the predator. nobody wanted to fuck with that guy.

this arnold looks like he would be scared of a golf club. hes past his time, and didnt age well. stallone at least still looks scary even if he had to roid up to do it.

Haven't seen a single commercial for the movie. I watched football all day yesterday, a time when manly men watch tv, and this type of movie seems geared towards that crowd, but again, didn't see a single ad/commercial for it. I've not seen it online either. Frankly, if I hadn't browsed by a recent AMA on reddit, I wouldn't have ever heard of it. I didn't even know it was out yet.

90% of movies don't do well at the box office.

looks like it will be a good popcorn movie and that's fine with me.

Is it wrong that I think Johnny Knoxville seems like more a movie star than Arnold?

He's a relic of 80's/90's action movies. Those that couldn't play a more intelligent role (say, Harrison Ford) or otherwise adapt and broaden their horizons (Bruce Willis comes to mind)...they kinda died. See: Van Damme, Seagal, et al.

Arnold was arguably the worst actor of the bunch.

After the whole Governator thing, Knoxville probably has more likability, too. (how can you be mad at a guy that used to get hit in the dick for a living?)

Ahnold has a bunch of movies listed on imdb, Two in post production and 3 in pre production. Also, T-5, Triplets and The Legend of Conan as "announced".

I wonder how this bomb will affect the sequels?
