AHHHHHH!! My hard drive crashed, is there anyway I can retrieve the data?

So I come home from work and reboot my PC because it was running a little sluggish. So I logon again and attempt to browse my d drive and I get the message that it's not formatted. I have gigs and gigs and gigs of data on that drive that I've been editing and cataloging for more than a year. Is there anything I can do to save it?

If the drive is still recognised in the bios you can use Spinrite.

yeah...access the backup that you made of your important data. ;^)

First download http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm
Drive Fitness Test, either the floppy or the iso for cd.

Run the quick test.. if it says your drive is failing, your looking at Professional Data Recovery Services.

If it passes, you can try..
