AHHHHGHRRRH.....OFFICE 2000 PRO

there should be no reason that you dont have setup.exe unless youre not installing from the cd and you dont have the cd. that probably means youre doing something shady? this thread will probably get locked.

yea you shouldn't need it. if you already have it installed, it'll ask for some .msi file, but not setup.exe.

ever know someone to install software directly from hard-disk or server space? ever know someone who just leaves files on the disk so as not to have to rummage for a CD if she wants to access cabs, change a configuration, or add after a remove? ever heard of file corruption; an odd phenomenon not always reason-able. or missing files, not an odd phenomenon on a shared network. ever heard of assuming you know what you really don't know, concluding an erroneous conclusion, confirming to those who hear you that you don't know what you don't know and still need to whine to the nearest authority figure? Light-In up friend. 🙂

forgive us then. it just seems kinda odd that you would ask for setup.exe if you already had the cd. even if you were installing from hd or network, you should have the setup.exe somewhere.

yes to all those things, but then maybe you shouldn't say things like, "help a poor boy get a new pair of shoes". maybe it's not what you meant, but what else do you expect us to think?
