AHHHH stupid nero!

Hey,
I just installed Nero and it detects my CD-RW drive correctly as the HP 9100 series (from compusa deal), however it says it only supports 4x and only lets me choose 2x and 4x for burning speeds.


note: i burned 5 cds with directcd already at 8x.


what do I do?

Q: What version of Nero?
When I was running an earlier version, it would give me issues like that unless I beat it with a stick. I moved to v5.??? and fixed the problem. The software seems pretty smart now. It now knows that my plextor can burn at 12x...

im at 5.0.4.8 or something.

I am running it on Demo mode, could that be it.

hopefully it wont be a demo tonight, hehehe
