There's this little circle of dry skin below my armpit, on the side of my chest. I looked at some pictures of ringworm, and it kind of looks like them, but there is no distinct ring. The whole circle is red/dry, not just the outside. It has been there for a week or two, I just haven't been worrying about it.

I don't like doctors, so I'm not going to see one, but is there any OTC medicines or something that I can do to it?

EDIT: I have some stuff for athlete's foot, it's like 5 years old, but I am going to try that. Think it will work?

It's common for puppies to get ringworm near their muzzel.

Apply"tough actin' Tinactin" ointment several times aday for two weeks.

Do it now! It will spread. Left untreated scaring and discolored blemishes will be the end
result when finally treated.

Oh, sorry, I'll tell the mods to delete my account. I really didn't know about that rule.

There are over the counter anti-fungal creams that work fairly well against ringworm. I got it from a cat twice in my youth and the creams cured it quickly. Note: eczema often looks like ringworm. I thought I had ringworm again, but when the anti-fungal creams didn't work I went to a doctor. I was diagnosed with eczema and a simple steroid cream eliminated that eczema outbreak nearly immediately.

He tried that, the only thing glowing were his sheets and the teen beat magazines at his bedside.

No, it doesn't itch at all, that's why I didn't notice it for a while, and that's why I haven't been worrying too much about it. There really isn't a ring either, it's all the same.

I used to work in a hospital for over 6 years, a while back. You see all kinds of stuff. There was a patience I saw once, (This is not related to your predicament, but, he too, didn't like doctors) An old man, laying in his bed, out of it beyond belief, eyes half open. I spoke to the nurse about him. She and I were good friends, I asked what his story was.

"He didn't like doctors", she went on to tell me. He had an ear ache, that lead to a massive infection because he didn't want to see the doctor. The left side of his head was a mass of bandages, from a simple ear ache, he let go, and did nothing about. Even with all those bandages, they constantly changed, towards the bottom, all sorts of fluids were oozing out.

Dude, do yourself a favor, get over your fear of doctors. Yes, lots of people don't like doctors. I would rather do some preventive work, when I can, than suffer, just because of being bullheaded. It's your choice.

doesn't sound like ringworm then. the ring is very distinct when it's small (size of a dime or smaller). as it spreads and gets bigger, it becomes more of a full bump than a ring.

now, if what you do have continues to get bigger, then you should be more concerned.
