Ok here is the setup:
Asus P4B266
avc sunflower
Mushkin CL2 PC2100 512mb
geforce2 gts
WD 80gb
antec ps
While I was trying to play Warcraft III beta, suddenly my computer just shuts down. So I tried to power up my computer again, but all I get is a little flash of light from the floppy led. I thought there might be a power surge and my power supply is toasted. However, when I tried with another power supply, it still does the same thing. So I opened my case and all I see was a green led light on my motherboard. So I thought the motherboard might be ok. Great...must be cpu then. I had overclocked my 1.6A to about 2.25 but my temp were always around 42-43 idle and 47 underload. Nevertheless, I decided to take my motherboard out and to my surprise, only three of the four feet on the heatsink was secured on the motherboard. So I started to cuss at myself for not doing the most important thing right! So in conclusion, I think it's the cpu that is fried. oh btw, I took out the cpu and there isn't any fried marks. I was hoping someone here can give me a second opinion. Thanks.
