I currently have a bracket that supports up to 3 drives, but I need more space, where can I get HD Brackets to attach onto the bottom (not those 3.5->5.25's nor mobiles) -- Please give me some ideas on where to find these metal brackets.. I've been searching for one for such a long time!

Thanks!

Your best bet is to get it from an old case... preferably an old tower with an HD cage...

<< all cases are different, the cages are not all interchangeable. just duct tape them in ;) >>

Can't use ducktape, it get all sticky from the drive getting hot. ( I know from experince) Just get some of thoughs zip ties and tie it up onto the other bay. Or you could make one. :p

Go to a sheet metal place and they can make one for you cheap, then screw it to the bottom of your case.
You could just have them make a U shaped bracket and drill the acess holes youself.

similar to the above post, but a do-it-yourself(er)

just cut two rectangular pieces of sheetmetal, length of however many drives you want it to support as well as however much clearance you have in your tower. then use a "punch" to make screw holes, first to match with the hard drive above. (this is a bit difficult to visualize, so try to stay with me) with two holes in each piece, unscrew the hard drive from a cage above where you want the new "cage" and then rescrew the screws into the hard drive, with the sheetmetal attached. do this to both sides. now you have a new cage. but do remember to make more holes for the hard drives you wish to attach.

zerogear, I saw an article the other day that used plumber's strapping tape to add drives. This tape is a semi-rigid plastic material (no adhesive) that can be cut and drilled to support your additional drives. You should be able to pick it up at any good home improvement store, such as Home Depot. The article indicated it has the additional property of acting as a drive dampener, to reduce drive noise. You simply cut four pieces to the desired length, drill the necessary holes, then fasten it to hang down from your current drive cage. Add your drive(s) and you're good to go.
