The whole idea of award shows is stupid. "Oohh look at me, I'm rich and I can lip sync... give me some kind of crappy award"

Sounds about right.

I'm starting to wonder who hates pop culture crap more: me or fausto.

Eitherway almost everything mentinoed there with a few exceptions is garbage, and that's why I don't watch the grammies or listen to most of that crap. Course, that's just my opinion, but I'm hardly ever wrong with it.

I'm assuming Record = Single (not a full album)

Eat sh*t! :p Audioslave's album actually kicks a good bit of ass.

I can't say how outkast is because I still have yet to hear a single song by them. Not sure how they slip by, but nothing in birmingham plays them (unless that gangsta rap station does, and I wouldn't know in that case).

Song of the Year is a songwriter's award It rewards the songwriter for a song released (or that "first achieved prominence") during the past eligibility year (Oct. 1, 2000, through Sept. 30, 2001).

Record of the Year rewards a song's performance and production. Record of the Year recognizes the artist, the producers , and the recording engineers and mixers.

Album of the Year is the most self-explanatory. It rewards, well, albums. Like Record of the Year, it's a performance and production award that goes to the artist and the album's producer and recording engineer

Yes, but it's pretty bland compared to Soundgarden or RATM. :(

RATM had only a couple of songs I liked, though I didn't try that hard. Soundgarden superunknown is still one of the best albums EVAR. No doubt about it audioslave would be nothing without chris cornell.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks pop culture sucks too. I thought I was just getting older.

At least I don't see Ms. Spears up there.

And I have a pet peeve about band names or rap artists. If they don't use proper grammar or spelling for their own names or titles, then I gradually lose all respect for them. As for their lyrics I don't care, but at least their names should be spelled right.

50 cent -- It's plural god damnit.
Speakerboxxx -- Yes we all know the x makes the X sound at the end of your name.
OutKast -- Yes, Mortal Kombat was a cool game.
NickleBack -- I can't even find that word in the pig Latin dictionary.

Are these names suppose to be cute?

"My Baby Don't Tolerate," Lyle Lovett (news);

Great tune!

And Coldplay better win with Clocks...everything else is sugar-coated CRAP!
