Ahhh Sitting in line

My school is selling their older equipment because they upgrade 1/3rd of their computers every year. They're selling 9 Gateway 450 series laptops (2 ghz, 512 mb ram, 40 gig hdd, wireless b/g, just basic 32mb video). They're also selling 40 desktops (2.4 ghz, 1 gig ram, 60-80 gig hdd, and GeForce 4 Ti4600's).

Each laptop and desktop is 100 bucks a piece. I'm pretty excited.

Do you think it's worth it sitting in line more than a day to get a laptop like that for 100 bucks?

Damn, can I get in on one? 🙁

Only one per person and you need a student ID. I heard they were not too good looking, but there's been a lot of jackasses trying to get everyone's hopes down because they say that the sale isn't gonna be till Tuesday. They're just trying to discourage everyone.

do it.

Oh yeah.. they go on sale at 8 am on Monday, my room mate and I are 4th and 5th in line, so we're guaranteed a laptop since there's only 9 of them. Been waiting in line since 3 AM this morning.

Government spending sucks. At my school, half of the computers are used for online games and the other half are used for web surfing . No one needs a top of the line computer for that.

my school is UAT (University of Advancing Technology) in Phoenix, AZ. It's a private school. I don't think that would count as government spending, but maybe I'm wrong.
